Sari Narulita
Project Manager
Sari is a GIS specialist within Daemeter’s Geospatial and Informatics team, where she applies over a decade of experience in spatial analysis, carbon quantification, and MRV to the firm’s forest conservation, restoration, and nature-based solutions work, anchoring the measurement, reporting, and verification systems that connect rigorous spatial science with bankable, investor-ready conservation and carbon outcomes.
Her expertise covers GHG emission reduction and removal analysis, MRV reporting, land use change and deforestation analysis, ecosystem service mapping, and conservation planning. She has worked with international standards including Verra VCS, Plan Vivo, and CCB, and is experienced with tools ranging from ArcGIS and Google Earth Engine to specialist landscape ecology software. She has also authored peer-reviewed research on ecosystem services, agroforestry carbon sequestration, and primary forest conservation. Her work demonstrates how the GIS function can position itself as a strategic decision-support capability rather than a service function.
Sari is motivated by work that connects rigorous spatial science with bankable conservation and carbon outcomes. Before Daemeter, she spent two years at a conservation investment company, providing carbon quantification and MRV analysis for projects validated under international standards. Prior to that, she worked for seven years at an international forestry research centre, contributing to land use change analysis, fragmentation studies, and ecosystem service mapping across Indonesia and beyond. She also has earlier experience in biodiversity assessment and invasive species research.
She holds an MSc in Natural Resources and Environmental Management and a BSc in Forestry, both from IPB University. She speaks Indonesian natively and English at an advanced level. Sari is an active sort: she heads to the hills to hike, plays basketball, and is a regular on the padel court.
