Jimmy Wilopo
Senior Project Manager
Jimmy is a Landscape Project Manager at Daemeter, where he leads landscape-scale sustainability programmes across Indonesia’s palm oil and natural rubber supply chains. His day-to-day work integrates spatial planning, social-based conservation, and jurisdictional approaches to advance deforestation-free commodity production, bridging national policy, district government, private sector commitments, and community needs.
With over a decade of experience in natural resource management and land use planning, he brings particular strength in multi-level stakeholder engagement, coordinating across national ministries, provincial agencies, district governments, and private sector partners. He has managed landscape programmes in Sumatera and Kalimantan, delivering RSPO certification support, regulatory advocacy, supply chain sustainability initiatives, and the kind of programme monitoring and evaluation that builds learning into long-running landscape work.
Jimmy is motivated by the complexity of aligning government policy, private sector commitments, and community needs within production landscapes. Before Daemeter, he managed large-scale sustainability programmes at an international civil society organisation, overseeing field teams across multiple districts in Kalimantan. He also served as a bioenergy specialist within a national government ministry, facilitating cross-sector collaboration on renewable energy policy and investment.
He holds a Master’s degree in Urban Environmental Management from Wageningen University in the Netherlands and a Bachelor’s in Regional and City Planning from Bandung Institute of Technology. He is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Jimmy is a committed gym-goer and finds his calm in the swimming pool.
