Gaia Khairina

Senior Project Manager

Gaia is a Senior Project Manager at Daemeter and Knowledge Area Lead for the Sustainable Supply Chain team. Her day-to-day focus is on responsible sourcing, supply chain sustainability, and human rights risk management, increasingly framed as investor-grade due diligence, helping companies in Indonesia’s land-use sectors meet RSPO, IFC Performance Standards, EUDR, and NDPE expectations.

She has built nearly a decade of experience conducting Human Rights Impact Assessments and due diligence across multiple commodity supply chains, including oil palm, spice, tobacco, and handicraft. Her work covers mill and supplier-level assessments, ESAP development, RSPO and IFC Performance Standards gap analyses, NDPE implementation, EUDR compliance support, and the design and delivery of HRDD training for corporate clients. She regularly leads field research including focus group discussions, gender and livelihood surveys, and stakeholder interviews across Sumatera, Kalimantan, Java, and Papua. Her work increasingly intersects with supply chain traceability platforms, connecting human rights data systems to client decision-support.

Gaia is drawn to work that connects supply chain accountability with real outcomes for workers, farmers, and communities on the ground. She has worked at Daemeter since graduating and has built her career entirely within the firm.

She holds a BA in Environmental Sciences from Clark University in the United States and has completed UNDP-certified HRDD Training for Trainers. She is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia. On weekends, you’ll find Gaia at yoga, hunting down a good cup of coffee, and snapping photos of the cats she meets along the way.
