Diani Nafitri Cahyaningrum

Project Manager

Diani Nafitri is a GIS and remote sensing specialist within Daemeter’s Forest, Nature and Climate unit. Her day-to-day work focuses on geospatial analysis, GHG accounting, and MRV systems that support the firm’s carbon, REDD+, and land-use assessment projects across Indonesia, building the measurement, reporting, and verification backbone that underpins credible carbon finance and climate accountability.

She brings expertise in land use change analysis, carbon stock assessment, and ecological modelling, working with tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, and ENVI. She has carried out GHG accounting and MRV development for AFOLU and REDD+ initiatives across Jambi and Kalimantan, and has contributed to HCV-HCS screening, ecosystem services analysis, and habitat suitability modelling. At Daemeter, she has also joined IFC Performance Standards assessment teams, adding environmental and social due diligence to her technical scope.

Diani Nafitri is motivated by work that connects spatial science with practical climate and conservation outcomes. Before Daemeter, she worked as an independent GHG accounting consultant for a national government ministry, conducted GIS research on sustainable commodity governance at a research organisation, and developed UAV-based environmental monitoring methodologies at a private technology company.

She holds a BSc in Forestry Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). She is a native Bahasa Indonesia speaker and fluent in English.
