Aria’s main responsibilities at Daemeter include building awareness of the importance of sustainability and traceability within palm oil, developing a fresh fruit bunch (FFB) traceability system for palm oil, working to implement this system on the ground, and engaging with diverse stakeholders, including district government, palm oil producers, and large buyers on the in the palm oil supply chain to promote more sustainable practices.
To date, Aria has played a critical role in helping build palm oil traceability systems involving important actors in the palm oil supply chain such as Apical, Astra, Musim Mas, KLK, Goodhope, and the Musi Banyuasin district government of South Sumatra, as well as many independent palm oil mills.
Before joining the Daemeter team, Aria worked with the Wilmar Group on agronomic sustainability as an internal RSPO monitor, as well as with The Forest Trust (TFT) as a Senior Program Officer working on sustainability management systems, as well as the ART and rurality initiatives.
Aria graduated from Universitas Nasional in Jakarta with a degree in Agriculture in 2005. Aria’s professional training includes certification in best practices of peatland management, ISPO auditing, HCV management and monitoring, and palm oil production management.
