Aisyah Sileuw, MSc
President Director
Aisyah is a co-founder and President Director of Daemeter. She has been working on the social dimensions of natural resource management since the mid-1990s, and her day-to-day role combines firm leadership with strategic advisory across the social, governance, and accountability dimensions of the firm’s forestry, agriculture, and land-use programmes.
With around 30 years of experience, she leads the firm’s social team in delivering HCV assessments, Social Impact Assessments, FPIC processes, stakeholder engagement, and social mapping, work that increasingly intersects with sustainable finance due diligence, jurisdictional governance, and the measurement of social outcomes. She is an FSC Lead Auditor and RSPO-approved HCV Assessor, with deep expertise in forest certification, chain of custody, and sustainability and legality verification. She sits on the Technical Panel of the HCV Resource Network and is a member of the FSC Social Chamber, and has advised on REDD+ safeguards development for the Indonesian government.
Before founding Daemeter, Aisyah spent a decade across an international forest certification body, a climate policy research organisation, and a community forestry NGO, where she focused on community land rights and sustainable forest management. She is a Chevening Scholar.
She holds an MSc in Applied Development Studies from the University of Reading and a BSc in Forest Product Technology from IPB University. She is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
