Kevin Channel
Project Manager
Kevin is a Project Manager within Daemeter’s Sustainable Supply Chain unit, where he leads the Siak-Pelalawan Landscape Programme and oversees landscape-level sustainability initiatives. His day-to-day work spans programme management, donor and stakeholder coordination, quality control, and outcome reporting across multi-stakeholder landscape and jurisdictional programmes.
With more than a decade of professional experience across mining, energy, and sustainable commodities, he brings strong programme operations skills to complex, multi-actor projects. He has managed field teams and satellite offices across West and East Kalimantan, coordinated with government at national, provincial, and district levels, and liaised with international donors and private sector partners. His donor reporting work bridges programme delivery with the accountability frameworks that funders increasingly require. He has also contributed to social forestry development in South Kalimantan and has received training in the IFC Performance Standards and ISPO internal auditing.
Kevin is motivated by work that brings together diverse stakeholders, government, private sector, and communities, around shared sustainability goals. Before Daemeter, he served as deputy head of programme operations at an international civil society organisation, managing palm oil, cotton, and textile sustainability programmes. Earlier in his career, he worked as a senior geologist in the coal mining sector and as an application engineer in oil and gas services.
He holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy from the University of Auckland, where he was a New Zealand Development Scholarship recipient, and a Bachelor’s in Geological Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung. He is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Kevin’s interests are wide-ranging: he cooks, tends his garden, works through stacks of history and social-science books, and rounds it all off with a good cup of coffee or tea.
