Iwan has a degree in Forest Products Technology from the Faculty of Forestry, Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). His specialty is the Community Engagement with over 25 years of experience in forestry and plantation. He has led and contributed to social assessment in the communities working in forestry and plantation as well as to those affected by activities in those sectors throughout Indonesia. Iwan has expertise in social assessment, participatory approach, community development, RSPO auditing, facilitator for HCV/HCS assessor, and FPIC assessment.

Iwan spends his spare time doing outdoor activities.
