Godwin Limberg, MSc

Regional Manager

Godwin Limberg is passionate about field work, and Daemeter provides many opportunities connecting insights from the field with the bigger picture. Some rewarding experiences have been supporting oil palm farmers increasing their knowledge of changing market demands and equipping them to adopt. Contributing to Daemeter’s study of opportunities and challenges for jurisdictional approaches in palm oil production areas was insightful, providing a strong foundation for the ongoing landscape and jurisdictional programs that Daemeter supports. His previous work for World Wide Fund for Nature laid the foundation for the first Indonesian national park co-managed by the Ministry of Forestry and indigenous groups in North Kalimantan. His work with Fauna & Flora International focused on supporting stakeholders balancing coal mining in a biodiversity hotspot in Kalimantan. He worked with foundations established by mining companies to train farmers in sustainable practices, and with CIFOR conducting participatory mapping and action research to strengthen the role of indigenous communities in forest management.

Godwin enjoys farming, reading on economy and politics, traveling to remote parts of Indonesia, and morning walks
