Aria Gumilang
Project Manager
Aria is a Supply Chain and Traceability Project Manager at Daemeter, working within the Sustainable Supply Chain team. His day-to-day focus is on leading supply chain mapping, traceability to plantation approaches, and NDPE implementation for producer companies in Indonesia’s palm oil sector, increasingly framing traceability systems as digital decision-support that connects district-level governance with corporate sustainability commitments.
With more than 13 years of experience in the palm oil industry, he brings deep knowledge of upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. He is skilled in designing and implementing traceability systems, conducting sustainability policy audits, and supporting certification readiness against RSPO, ISPO, and ISCC standards. He also has hands-on experience in HCV and SIA, smallholder programme design and coordination, and sustainability management system development. His work spans Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, Sumatera, and international supply chain mapping across Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia, and includes engagement with district government on jurisdictional traceability approaches.
Aria is driven by the practical challenge of connecting supply chain actors to deliver on sustainability commitments. Before Daemeter, he worked in estate management and sustainability at a major palm oil company, and spent six years at an international sustainability organisation leading responsible sourcing audits, refinery transformation programmes, and smallholder empowerment projects.
He holds a BSc in Agriculture from Universitas Nasional Jakarta and is a certified ISPO Lead Auditor. He is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English. When he is not in the field, Aria is happiest with his hands in the soil or his motorbike on the open road, splitting his time between landscape gardening at home and longer touring rides.
