Alya graduated with Science degree in Environmental Geography from the Faculty of Geography, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Her early experience is working as a laboratory assistant for Geomorphology and Disaster Mitigation courses as well as technical assistant for Badan Kerjasama Luar Negeri at the Faculty of Geography UGM. Unrelated to her degree, Alya is passionate on visual communication and began her career as art director and animator in an independent Production House for 4 years. She also has experience in graphic designing, photography, and video production throughout college and after graduation. She joined Daemeter in 2022 and has been contributing for the visual communication, website, and social media.

Alya is a matcha enthusiast (who also enjoys the bitterness of coffee and the light aftertaste of tea). She enjoys doing crafts and puzzles while listening to podcasts or watching movies.
