- Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is widely regarded on the global market to have the highest social and environmental certification standards for sustainable forest management. For industry, FSC certification is a way to ensure access to highly environmentally sensitive markets. Increasingly, government and other organizations prioritize FSC certified products in their purchasing policies. Daemeter covers all areas of expertise required to assist companies achieve FSC certification for wood producers as well as FSC supply chain traceability standards for wood-based manufacturer companies.
- Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification
Rapid expansion of palm oil production driven by increasing global demand for edible oils has created pressure on the environment and societies where it’s grown. Promoting certified responsible practices for palm oil production is one leading approach to supply the world with much-needed vegetable oil without harming the planet and its people. The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), a multi-stakeholder organization established in 2004, is one such example. The RSPO brings together hundreds of global member organizations to promote certified sustainable palm oil production and trade, with demand for certified palm oil growing rapidly. Daemeter has strong capacity for mentoring in all dimensions of RSPO certification, including socio-cultural aspects, HCV assessment, systems management and capacity building. Daemeter can assist companies to overcome common challenges faced by companies to bring operations in line with RSPO requirements and thereby comply with the RSPO standard.
